html spreading over pages
my images often seperate over 2 pages of the url - I would like it so content did not spread out and images stayed whole on one page. Or the oppurtunity to have a page break in the pdf itself.
26 votesWe now support converting long pages into one single long page – this was implemented in februariy 2014. Please check out http://pdfmyurl.com/page-sizes-and-page-breaking

check css 'letter-spacing' rule. eg. a PDF of alistapart.com shows letters spread out across page.
A great tool, but looks like some css rules are being misinterpreted. PDF of www.alistapart.com has letters in headers spread across the page. PDFMYURL is a great tool and I've added it to my favourites bar.
23 votesHas now been fixed with the new service update…
This along with some character sets is causing some sites to render sloppy in pdf. A fix is on the way.
If you find a url that falls into this category, please post it here, we can use all the help we can get!
Thanks!

create a bookmarklet so users can use PDFmyURL on any page with just one click.
A bookmarklet would allow users to add a bit of Javascript as a button in their browser's tool bar and by clicking it they could PDFmyURL any page they were viewing. (I've already done this in my browser and sent code to newsletter@opentracker.net). GREAT TOOL!
17 votesThis has been done:
Drag the bookmarklet from the homepage to your bookmarksbar.

Posting your terms of service.
It would be great to use this service, even pay a small fee, but I would need to know the Terms of Service before I could confidently use it with clients.

In link pdfmyurl.com/?=url=www.something.com/?p=5&id=2 do these $_GET values 5+2 get lost?
Putting the link in the form on the website works well!
But when linking to it via:
pdfmyurl.com/?=url=www.something.com/?p=5&id=2It loses the values p=5 and id = 2
10 votesYou need to escape the url when posting it to our domain.
In javascript you can do it like this:
javascript:pdf_url=location.href;location.href=‘http://pdfmyurl.com?url=’+escape(pdf_url) -
